The Chainsmokers IRL.

Yesterday, I went to the Chainsmokers concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion. I got up bright and early to get ready. Then, my big/best friend, Brooke, came and picked me up to go to the concert. We both where so excited because we have been waiting for this concert for months now. We left my house and made our way downtown, aka Columbia, MD.

We should up an hourish before we where supposed to be there, which was at 2:30. We had the VIP tickets, so that means we got there early, and got some surprises: a hat, a signed poster, and a VIP pass; we also had the chance to listen to the sound check. Which was cool, at first, but we had to sit and wait for 2+ hours without food or water for the sound check. You would think that they would inform us about how there might be a wait, so the people with these tickets can bring food, water, etc.

Finally, at 5, we got to see the sound check, and then they shoved us behind this gate where we had to pay for food, drinks, and etc. We weren’t allowed to leave from the gated area. About 15 minutes later, we were moved to our section, and Brooke and I got right up on the gate, which was amazing. We spent the whole show right up on the gate.

I was a little worried about the first opener because sometimes they aren’t the best, but this guy was awesome, his DJ name is Lost Frequencies (if you’re really into EDM, I highly recommend listening to him!). Then the second opener, who was Kiiara, who’s music I loved before hand, was AMAZING. I really should have brought a portable charger because at this point my phone was at like 20%, which I wasn’t too mad about because I was enjoying the show.

Finally, the moment we where all waiting for: The Chainsmokers. They were amazing. I had a blast dancing, singing, jumping along to the music. I honesty had so much fun at the concert.

There was a slight bump in the road: there was a girl who was standing next to me, and was literally screaming. SCREAMING. the lyrics to The Chainsmokers. Like there isn’t anything wrong to singing along, because I was too, but this girl was legit screaming at the top of her lungs to legit every song. She also elbowed me and kept pushing me, but I didn’t really let that bother me because it was General Admission.

But, all in all, I had a blast and I would totally see the Chainsmokers in a heartbeat.
